Google 近日推出了Linux软件库(GoogleLinux Software Repositories)， 安装和升级 Google 推出的各 Linux 软件将非常方便容易，省去了初级用户编译的麻烦。Google Linux 软件库支持的 Linux 发行版包括Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat, Fedora, openSUSE, SUSE, Mandriva等常见的 Linux 发行版。目前只有 Google Desktop Linux 1.2 和 Picasa for Linux 2.7 两款软件包含在这个软件库中。
对于 Fedora 用户，首先安装 The Linux Package Signing Key ，获得Google的认证，这样从Google Linux软件库中安装软件的时候才不会出现警告或者错误。安装 Signing Key 的步骤如下，
Google Chrome 发布有一段时间了，一时间有关 Chrome 的消息在互联网上一波接一波蜂拥而至，使用了 Chrome 一段时间之后，也觉得 Google Chrome 是一个极其优秀的浏览器，就是太“简陋”了一点，用 Firefox 还是比较顺手一点。当然，萝卜青菜各有所爱，将 Google Chrome 设为默认浏览器的人大有人在。做为一名 Google Fan ，我把我在网上看到的和 Google Chrome 有关的操作技巧分享给大家！
1. Yeeyan 翻译的 Google Chrome 中文手册
这个中文手册其实是 9月1日 Google 以漫画书（英文名“Google Chrome comic book”）的形式发布Google Chrome的中文译本，相对于新浪翻译的版本，两者各有特色，Yeeyan 的版本是 PDF 的，适合收藏，毕竟漫画画得还是挺不错的:-)
2. 对于真正的 Google Chrome 新手，我推荐 谷歌中国 的视频介绍，它很详细直观的阐述了 Google Chrome 的所有有点和特性。
3. 有人整理好了 Google Chrome 键盘快捷键大全，推荐大家去看看。而且，还有 Google fans 收集并汉化了 “101个Google技巧–Google终极技巧收集”，千万别错过。
两年多以来，Google 要推出自己的浏览器的报道从来都没有停止过，而今天看到的新闻则证明，Google 自己开发的浏览器GBrowser 或曰 gBrowser 的发布日期将越来越近了。
其实 Google Blogoscoped 早在6月10日就做出过报到，该篇文章的中文翻译在这里，文章透露Gogole早在2006年就开始了“谷歌浏览器(GBrowser)的内部项目”。而且，将来的Google Browser是建立在开源的WebKit浏览核心之上的（和苹果的Safari浏览器使用相同的核心）。这与今天cnBeta今天的报道有所不同，今天的报道则说GBrowser会使用Mozilla Firefox(火狐)的Gecko引擎。
许多事情都证明了GBrowser的存在，Google已经秘密启动了浏览器的研发工作，除了内部调配技术工程师以外，还从Firefox开发团队挖走了数名技术骨干。而且Google已经注册了一个Gbrowser.com域名。
我很喜欢Gogole的在线服务，比如Google Docs，GMail，Google Reader等等，我同样期待即将在9月份发布的GBrowser！Google一直以来都很关心Linux平台，就像Google Earth，Picasa等都有Linux版本，如果9月份真的发布GBrowser，我相信一定会有Linux版。

Google Gadgets for Linux provides a platform for running desktop gadgets under Linux, catering to the unique needs of Linux users. We are compatible with the gadgets written for Google Desktop for Windows as well as the Universal Gadgets on iGoogle. Following Linux norms, this project will be open-sourced, under the Apache License.
The Windows and Mac versions of Google Desktop has provided gadget hosting functionality on Windows and Mac for a while now and the Linux version of Google Gadgets will extend this platform to Linux users. By enabling cross-platform gadgets, a large library of existing gadgets are immediately available to Linux users. In addition, gadget developers will benefit from a much larger potential user base without having to learn a new API.
There’s two main components to the application: one is a common gadget library responsible for running and presenting a gadget, and the other is a host program that allows the user to choose gadgets and run them on the desktop. Currently we have hosts written for GTK+ and QT, with the GTK+ host offering a sidebar similiar to that of Google Desktop for Windows.
